| As a Lifeguard Instructor you can teach basic-level Red Cross Aquatic Courses such as: Lifeguarding LGT, Shallow Water Attendant, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, Administering Emergency Oxygen, Bloodborne Pathogens Training, Preventing Disease Transmission, and basic Water Rescue courses. |
| 1. Individuals must be at least 17 years of age by the last day of class. 2. Fundamentals of Instructor Training certificate issued within the past 12 months or current Red Cross instructor certification. 3. Successfully complete the basic level Lifeguarding (r.06) by passing the pre-course written exam with a score of 80 percent or higher for each of the three sections and demonstrating competency in the pre-course skills and scenarios evaluation. |

In this course you will learn CPR skills such as: 1. CPR for Professional Rescuer 2. Adult Child Infant CPR. 3. Two rescuer CPR. 4. Use of an AED. 5. Dealing with Conscious &Unconscious Chocking Victims. 6. Rescue Breathing. 7. Use of BVM. |

Lifeguard Instructor valid for 15 - 24 months; To receive this American Red Cross certificate you: • Must be present for the entire course. • Successfully complete all required skills. • Pass a multiple choice written exam at 80% or better. |

1. Dress comfortably; CPR First Aid skills are practiced on the floor in a kneeling position. 2. The class involves a lot of moving around during classroom work and typically there will be a pool sessions per day. 3. Participants must bring a swimsuit and towels each day. |
