  •   BLS for Healthcare Providers Online Part 1

    •
    The American Heart Association’s BLS for Healthcare Providers Online Part 1 Course Web-based and accessible 24 hours a day, provides a flexible alternative to classroom training. Through case-based scenarios, interactive activities and videos, this course teaches the concepts of both single-rescuer and team basic life support.

    • Healthcare professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.

    • 1. Key changes in basic life support, reflecting the new science from the 2010 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care
    2. Critical concepts in high-quality CPR
    3. The American Heart Association Chain of Survival
    4. 1-Rescuer CPR and AED for adult, child and infant
    5. 2-Rescuer CPR and AED for adult, child and infant
    6. Differences among adult, child and infant rescue techniques
    7. Bag-mask techniques for adult, child and infant
    8. Rescue breathing for adult, child and infant
    9. Relief of choking for adult, child and infant
    10. CPR with an advanced airway*

    * This is an introduction to the compression and ventilation rates for a patient who has an advanced airway in place. For more information on advanced airways, please refer to the Airway Management Course.

    • Part 1 must be paired with a hands-on skills practice and testing session (Parts 2 and 3) with an AHA BLS Instructor. Students who successfully complete Part 1 receive a certificate that allows them entrance into a skills practice and testing session. An AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers course completion card will be issued upon successful completion of all three parts.

    • 1. Have successfuly complited Online part#1 and bring a copy of complition form.
    2. Be present for the entire course.
    3. Successfully complete all required skills.

    • 1. Dress comfortably; CPR skills are practiced on the floor in a kneeling position.
    2. It's the students responaibility to know which course they need to take. GSPGuard might recomend a class but always recheck with Emplpoyer or DOH.
    3. Please note that CPR requires the use of a CPR-mask you could bring your own mask or you have the option to purchase one from us at an additional cost of $15.00
